Designing a website can become such overwhelming task. To get
started there are a few questions that need to be asked.
- What impression do you want to make to your viewers?
- Would you like your site to incorporate graphics and what
style do you prefer?
- What would you like to say or to express to your audience?
- Is there a specific age group you are you trying to attract?
- Do you have a particular color scheme in mind?
- Have you developed a logo or are you in need of having one
designed?
- Are you planning on selling one or more products? If so, are
you planning on selling your products online and will require
a shopping cart feature?
- What type of payments are you going to accept? Mastercard,
Visa
.
- Don't forget shipping details? Have you decided the best method?
- Are you interested in having a BLOG feature on your site?
- How do you feel about advertisements?
- Of course, we can't forget about contact information. Emails,
address, phone numbers etc.
- You need to decide on a domain name and we'll research its
availability.
- Have you considered any hosting sites yet?
- Are you interested in adding links to other sites?
- Do you want to keep track of visitors?
This is just some of the initial information that will be needed
to begin the process. The more I have researched into this subject,
the more I have found that it all begins with a good plan. Something
written down in concrete, as they say. From there we can formulate
the steps and begin the process. Along the way, as we all know,
there's bound to be bumps or detours in the road. However, do
not despair, changes can always be made. It is much like painting
a picture. You keep adding lines and colors until everything eventually
starts blending in just the way it is envisioned.
The next decision is how much will this all cost. The initial
setup of the site will be determined based upon how extensive
the site is anticipated to become. The financial cost will be
discussed prior to any actual work done on the site and we will
mutually agree upon a fee that is acceptable for all parties involved.
Upon completion of the site, if you would like me to continue
to maintain any updates to the site, they will be billed at my
current hourly rate in increments of 10 minutes. Pricing for any
work above and beyond the original scope of the project will always
be presented and approved prior to the completion of the task.
